Browser

Let Gluon use websites for you in a cloud browser: approvals, signing in yourself with Take control, saved sign-ins and profiles, Live View and costs.

For things the web tools can’t do, such as a site that needs you signed in or clicking through a form, Gluon can drive a real browser in the cloud while you watch.

  • “Check my electricity provider’s site for the latest bill.”
  • “Find the train times from Pune to Mumbai on Saturday on the railway site.”
  • “Add these three items to my cart on the grocery site, but don’t check out.”

The browser works in private chats. In a group, ask your Gluon in a private chat instead.

Opening a site (browser__open) and each click, typing or navigation (browser__act) ask for your approval by default. Reading the page, taking screenshots, handing control to you and closing run without asking.

Allowing browser__act lets the page itself steer what Gluon clicks and fills, so keep it on Ask when you want to check an order’s details, delivery address and total before paying.

The browser opens in the chat’s side panel, in the Browser tab; on a phone, open it from the chat header’s button. While the tab is out of sight, a small player floats above the message box, and browser steps in the chat show View live.

  • Take control to use the page yourself. This stops Gluon’s current reply.
  • Done · continue, or sending “done, logged in”, hands it back.
  • Stop closes the browser.

When a site needs you to sign in or enter a code, Gluon hands the browser to you. Type passwords and codes directly into the browser, never into the chat. You can paste from your own password manager while you’re in control. Gluon has no password manager and never enters passwords for you.

After you sign in, Gluon saves the site’s sign-in so later tasks can reuse it. A website can still ask you to sign in again, for example when its session expires or it asks for a verification code.

Saved sign-ins live in browser profiles, managed in Settings → Browser.

  • Default is used automatically. With more than one profile, the Browser tab asks which one to use for a task.
  • Add profiles under Advanced to keep separate accounts for the same site, such as yours and your partner’s.
  • Clear saved sessions removes Default’s saved sign-ins; deleting another profile removes it. Neither signs you out on the website itself.
  • Signing out of Gluon keeps your profiles.

Delegated background tasks use your profiles too, but can’t hand the browser to you; a site that needs you to sign in has to wait for a chat.

  • The browser is charged per second while it’s open, including while you take control or watch. Idle browsers close after ten minutes; Stop closes one at once.
  • Up to three browsers at once, 20 profiles, and 50 saved sites per profile.
  • Gluon can’t run its own scripts, upload or download files, or export your sign-ins.
  • Leaving the chat releases its browser after a short grace period.
  • Some sites block automated browsers or need checks a cloud browser can’t pass.
